Dengue viruses, transmitted by the Aedes and Aedes mosquitoes, are widely distributed throughout the tropical and subtropical areas of the world. The NS1 antigen is present at high concentration in the serum specimens of the dengue infected patients during the early clinical stage, so it could be used as a good marker of dengue virus infection. After the primary dengue infection, IgM antibodies will appear by 5th day of symptoms and persist for 30-60 days. IgG appear in about 14 day and persist for life.
Dengue IgG/IgM Rapid Test kits are solid phase immunochromatographic assays for the rapid, qualitative and differential detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to dengue virus in human serum and plasma specimens. While Dengue NS1 antigen test kits are used to detect Dengue NS1 antigen in serum, plasma and whole blood specimens. Both are intended for professional use, as aid in the presumptive diagnosis of dengue infection, and primary and secondary dengue infection.
Features:
1. Dengue NS1: Sensitivity: 98%; Specifi city: 98.3%;
2. Dengue IgG/IgM: Sensitivity: 94.8%; Specifi city: 94.2%;
3. Dengue IgG/IgM & Dengue NS1 antigen combined test panel is available.
